Provider and contact
LingoClipper for iOS is provided by the LingoClipper team. For privacy questions or requests, contact support@lingoclipper.com.
Audio, text and learning records
Audio you record or import, transcripts, translations, folders, segments and review records are used for playback, recognition, translation and learning, and are stored on your device. Vocabulary remains local and is not currently included in cross-device sync.
Speech recognition and translation take place on your device. Some features may require language resources to be downloaded first. Downloading these resources does not send us your audio or text for recognition or translation.
iCloud
When you turn on content or learning-progress sync, the corresponding clips, folders, recordings, segments, audio and review records are saved in your iCloud and synced across supported devices using the same Apple Account with sync enabled. Content and learning-progress sync can be controlled separately. Sync uses your iCloud storage and network connection. We do not store this content on our own servers. Apple's terms and privacy policy apply to iCloud.
Turning sync off does not automatically delete downloaded local content or cloud copies. With sync enabled, deleting content may affect copies on other synced devices; follow the instructions shown in the app. Sync is not a separate backup that can recover every accidental deletion.
Importing and sharing files
When you choose or share audio from Files or another app, LingoClipper saves a copy on your device and completes the import. The app checks file size, modification time and available storage to detect changes during import and warn or stop when space is insufficient. These checks are not used for advertising or cross-app tracking.
Wi-Fi receiving
You choose when to enable Wi-Fi receiving. Audio is transferred over your local network to your device, not uploaded to our servers. While receiving is active, devices on that network that can reach the receiving address can also send you files. Local-network transfers are not encrypted. Use a trusted network and close the receiving page when finished.
Purchases
iOS Pro uses Apple's In-App Purchase. Apple handles payment. The app checks purchase status on device to unlock Pro, restore purchases or update access after a refund. We do not receive payment card numbers or send purchase status to our own servers.
Statistics, diagnostics and support
The current iOS app does not use third-party usage analytics or advertising tracking. Necessary diagnostic information is recorded on device; the app does not automatically send us audio or full transcripts. If you contact support or submit diagnostic material, we receive the email address, text and attachments you choose to provide and use them to respond to your request. Avoid sending unrelated private content.
We use Resend and Google Gmail to handle support email. These services may process your sender address, message body, attachments and delivery information so we can receive, store and reply to your request. The app does not automatically send your audio to these email services.
We retain ordinary support emails and attachments for up to 12 months after the issue is resolved, then delete them. Material needed for unresolved issues is retained until resolution and then follows the same schedule. You may contact support to request deletion. We handle support material under our control; service-provider logs and backups follow the providers’ applicable retention and deletion policies, so deletion does not promise immediate erasure from every provider system. If you open our support or privacy website, its privacy information applies separately.
Retention and choices
You can delete saved content in the app, adjust notification permissions, turn sync off, and stop Wi-Fi receiving. Uninstalling the app, system backups, Apple purchase records and cloud copies have separate platform behavior; uninstalling does not promise immediate erasure of all copies.
Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or restrict processing. Contact us at the address above. We generally have no copy of local content you have not sent us. Requests concerning Apple's payment or account data may need to use Apple's channels.
Changes
We will update this policy if features or data practices change and provide notices or choices where required.
